Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pnl Scope collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our trading-journal and broker-data features.

1. Information we collect

Account information, such as email address, authentication identifiers, subscription plan, and settings.
Trading-journal information, such as symbols, dates, side, P&L, prices, manually entered notes, account labels, and trade timestamps.
Connected brokerage information, such as institution name, brokerage account identifiers, account names, balances, holdings, orders, fills/executions, transaction/activity data, and connection status made available through integration providers.
Payment and subscription information. Payments may be processed by Stripe. Pnl Scope does not need to store your full payment-card number.
Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser/device information, request logs, error logs, and security events generated by our application or service providers.

2. Brokerage credentials

When you connect a supported brokerage through SnapTrade, brokerage selection, credential entry, OAuth redirects, and multi-factor authentication are handled through SnapTrade's Connection Portal. Pnl Scope does not ask you to type your brokerage password or MFA code into a Pnl Scope form.

3. How we use information

Provide the journal, analytics, account, calendar, broker-sync, and export features.
Import and normalize completed trades from connected accounts.
Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
Process subscriptions and manage plan access.
Communicate about support, security, service, or account matters.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We may use service providers that help operate Pnl Scope, including SnapTrade for supported brokerage connectivity, Supabase for application database/authentication/server-side functions, Stripe for payments/subscriptions, and Netlify for website hosting and delivery. Their handling of information is subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.

5. Read-only brokerage access

Pnl Scope is designed to use brokerage connections for journaling and analytics. Our current broker integration is read-only: Pnl Scope is not intended to place, modify, or cancel trades in your brokerage account.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations. Disconnecting a brokerage stops future access through that connection but does not necessarily delete journal records already imported into Pnl Scope. You may delete supported records inside the product or contact us to request account or personal-data deletion.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission, storage, or online service can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your Pnl Scope login credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your choices

Disconnect supported brokerage connections.
Delete supported trading accounts and journal entries in the product.
Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
Cancel paid subscriptions through available billing-management tools.

9. Children and Minors

Pnl Scope is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from or permit accounts to be created by individuals under 18. If we learn that an individual under 18 has provided personal information to Pnl Scope, we may take steps to delete the information and close the account.

10. International users

If you use Pnl Scope from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Pnl Scope evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the "Last updated" date.
